My name is Rebecca Hatton. I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work at the University of Regina in 2007. I am a registered Social Worker and Certified Nutrition Coach. I am a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (Registration Number: #3934) and adhere to the Canadian Association of Social Work Code of Ethics.
I am an experienced Social Worker who has been working in the social work profession as a mental health and addictions professional for several years. I have worked with families, youth, and adults throughout various roles in my career.
I have a special interest in and am certified to work with people who have body image and disordered eating patterns. I also am passionate and experienced in providing individual therapy services to people experiencing various mental health presentations. such as anxiety, depression, self-injury, suicidal ideation, stress and anger management, and crisis.
My Approach
I use a holistic approach to help my clients improve habits, build a better understanding of themselves, and increase coping skills that are sustainable and empowering. Creating a calming, open, and comfortable environment is something I strive for. I also love laughter and try to use humor in the work I do with my clients. My approach will consider the interconnection between our mental, emotional, physical, social, and environmental needs to develop an individualized plan for long-term growth and personal development.
